What Claude Code does well
Claude Code is built around Anthropic’s model family, works naturally in the terminal and documents deployment through Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock and Google Vertex AI. Its model configuration and usage guidance are explicit.

Claude Code is purpose-built for people who want the agent in the shell with little visual ceremony. Miton is a full desktop application and carries more interface by design.

Miton routes among connected hosted providers and local models. Claude Code is centred on Claude models, with documented enterprise deployment options and gateway configuration for organisations.

Both products document usage and cost controls. Miton’s intended v1 workspace licence is separate from provider inference charges; that packaging is not yet available during development.

Bottom line
Claude Code is an excellent focused agent. Miton should win only when the larger workspace and broader model field are worth more than that focus.
